Once again, Monika Deviat & I will be hosting our popular Introduction to photographing beautiful Waterton Lakes National Park.
Waterton offers many diverse possibilities for photography! From intimate landscapes and wildflowers to the grand vista, dark skies for night photography, and an incredible diversity of abundant wildlife. Monika and I both love photographing everything in nature, from tiny details to grand landscapes. If you’ve never been to the park or would like to expand your familiarity, we’d love to introduce you to Waterton and give you some tips on exploring and photography.
This workshop takes place before the Lightchasers Conference. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet people, learn, and get a great deal on a photography workshop and guided experience. If you want to visit the park on your own during or after the Conference, this will help you make the most of your time and guide some of your creative ideas.
We will meet for an evening landscape session. Your instructors will choose the starting location based on the forecast and the best opportunities for images 24-48 hours before the start of the workshop. Participants can expect to be on location around 4 pm.
We may see wildlife but we will not be actively searching during this workshop due to our group size. Your instructors will cover safety, respect for animals, and photography tips in case we do see some safely from our photography locations and to help prepare you for your own outtings.
