There’s something really special about photographing a proposal – the anticipation, the planning, and reaction when the moment finally arrives. Recently I had the chance to document a beautiful surprise proposal in a quiet location high above the lake.
The setup was simple: I brought her to the viewpoint under the pretext of creating some tourism images. While she took some iphone photos of the view, her partner made his way in from behind, ready for his moment. I loved her reaction and as he dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him!
After the proposal, we moved to a stretch of moss-lined road. It was wonderful to capture their playful and relaxed energy during the session that followed.
Documenting proposal moments like this always feels meaningful and beautiful. I feel so grateful to be present at some of the most significant moments of my clients lives.
