This workshop is hosted by Akari Photo Tours

Photograph Newfoundland’s wild coastlines, historic fishing villages, rugged fjords and ice-filled waters, from the raw beauty of Gros Morne to the remote communities of the north shore.

We’ll work with the ever-changing coastal light and weather, learning to use fog, wind, texture and stormy skies to create images with atmosphere and depth. Along the way, we’ll refine composition and camera technique, photograph dynamic subjects from land and zodiac, and explore creative approaches such as long exposures, panoramas and focus stacking.

There will also be time to review and discuss images, helping you develop a more personal way of seeing and responding to the landscape.

Most importantly, we’ll encourage you to slow down, look closely and find your own connection with this extraordinary place – helping you translate that connection into photographs that feel personal and meaningful.
